Samsung Galaxy S Plus and Galaxy R launched in India
Samsung might have showcased only the Galaxy Y, Omnia W and Wave 3 at its launch event in Delhi
yesterday, but it is also launching at least two more smartphones that
it chose not to feature at the event. We can confirm that the Galaxy S
Plus and Galaxy R are also been launched. The Galaxy S Plus features a
faster 1.4GHz processor, a beefier 1650 mAh battery and the latest
version of Android Gingerbread. It will be priced at approximately Rs
22,500. The Galaxy R, on the other hand, will be a slightly stripped
down version of the Galaxy S2, with a 5.0 MP camera and a 4.19-inch
S-LCD display rather than a 8.0 MP camera and Super AMOLED display found
on the Galaxy S2. It is expected to be priced around Rs 27,000. Both
the smartphones are expected to be available in the coming days.
