New Macbook Pro 2010 Details

overview_gallery20100409_610x204 The new Macbook Pro 2010 models are here. The big news is that the 15.4 inch and the 17 inch models will now boast the latest Core i5 and Core i7 processors. Those who are willing to purchase the 13 inch models will have to remain satisfied with the Core 2 Duo Processors.

The higher end models will also have the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics with Optimus switching. The 13 inch models will have NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics. With the automatic graphics switching technology, Apple claims that the higher models will be able to churn out 7-8 hours of battery life and the 13 inch models can run up to 10 hours. Well, I’ll be happy if they run for even half of what they claim.
Options are available for 15 inch models to choose between 1440 X 900 glossy display and 1680 X 1050 glossy display. The higher resolution display will cost you $100 more. You can also add an anti glare coating on top of them for $50 more. The 17 inchers are stuck with the 1920 X 1200 pixels glossy display.
The systems come with 4GB of RAM and the hard drives are standard 320 GB and 500 GB ones. If you are an SSD lover for their reliability, speed and performance you may also choose a 512GB SSD. It will add merely $1,300 to the price of $1,799 for 15 inch models and $2,299 for the 17 inch models. The 13 inch models start at $1,199. All the models are available at the Apple store right now and you will be shipped the bigger models within 24 hours and the 13 inch models within 2-4 days.
