In an official announcement Nintendo has disclosed that it would add another member, called Nintendo 3DS to its successful family of Nintendo DS gaming handhelds. The new handheld game platform will feature a “3D effects” that can be enjoyed without using any special glasses.Nintendo has crossed a long way in the gaming market. Its journey was started in early 90 with Virtual Boy, an acclaimed update of original GameBoy hardware that causes headache in players if they stare at its red monochrome 3D screen for long hours. Later, Nintendo earned more popularity with Nintendo Wii (with its revolutionary remote), and Nintendo DS (with its dual screens).

According to Nintendo, the product will go on sale between April 2010 and March 2011.
