NEW DELHI: With everyone looking preoccupied with recession, cellular handset maker Motorola gave the wealthy people a new obsession called 'AURA', a hand-sculpted mobile phone that costs Rs 1,11,000.
"We are delighted to offer AURA to Indian consumers with its luxurious design, artistry and sensory experience," said Faisal Siddiqui, Head of India Operations, Motorola Mobile Devices.
AURA is Motorola's latest high-tier mobile device targeted at the trend-setter Indian who has a taste for the exquisitely stylish, unrivalled quality and sensuous luxury, he added.
The phone was launched by the Bollywood celebrity and Motorola's brand ambassador Abhishek Bachchan, who presented the first Aura to fashion designer Manish Malhotra in Mumbai.
The unique handset breaks convention and re-establishes artistry in the design and manufacturing of mobile devices for the discerning Indian consumers, Siddiqui said.
The hand-sculpted richness of AURA can literally be felt in its stainless steel housing, textures and patterns chemically etched into its surface, he said.
