Nokia has just announced the 603 smartphone based on the Symbian Belle OS at an event in Turkey. The phone has a 3.5-inch (640 x 360 pixels) ClearBlack display, offers six home screens and comes with six swappable rear covers in a variety of colors. It is powered by a 1GHz processor, has 5.0MP shooter at the back which can shoot 720p HD videos at 30fps and offers connectivity features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The Nokia 603 is the seventh Nokia handset to have incorporated an NFC chip. The phone comes preloaded with some entertainment apps like Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Shazam, YouTube and a host of office apps such as Microsoft Office Communicator, Quick Office, Adobe PDF reader and Vlingo. Nokia claims a talk-time of 7 hours. It will start shipping in Q4 and is expected to cost around Rs 13,500 before taxes and subsidies.
