WSJ: Apple to launch new MacBook Air next week, not today


Many were expecting Apple to launch its third generation of MacBook Air today, only to be left high and dry. Digits All Things D‘s John Paczkowski now tells us it was never meant to be today. And it won’t happen tomorrow, either. Instead, Apple will launch it next week along with OS X Lion. The new MacBook Air is expected to sport Intel’s new Sandy Bridge processors, Apple’s Thunderbolt port, backlit keyboard and 128 GB and 256 GB of flash storage. My second gen MacBook Air just got a week’s worth of extension before retirement.
