Olive launches HSPA+, Android smartphone

NEW DELHI: Olive Telecom has launched the country's first HSPA+ smartphone OliveSmart V-S300. Lauched in association with Aircel, OliveSmart V-S300 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon MSM8255 processor and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS.
The device comes in an ultra slim body at 9.9 mm with a 4.1" multi-touch capacitive touch-screen, 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, Adreno 205 graphics engine, 3G HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Additional features include a 5 megapixel camera with flash and auto-focus, front camera, accelerometer, proximity sensor Bluetooth v2.1, 32 GB expandable memory and a 1400mAh battery backup.
The OliveSmart also boasts of a range of services like Digital compass, Google Maps, Live TV and E-book reader along with other innovative features that include smooth texting, push e-mail, web browsing, wireless connectivity, multi-touch interface, social networking, 3.5 mm Audio Jack, Monster entertainment, 'Feel the Music', etc.
The smartphone is priced at Rs 20,000.
