Microsoft’s Pink Pure Phone: First impression

The web is abuzz with Microsoft's Project Pink. What all the phone-enthusiasts were eagerly looking for is the first look at Microsoft Pink Phone. Gizmodo leaked the first glimpses of Project Pink phone Pure, the Turtle sidekick. What's interesting, the new phones bears minimal resemblance with Window Phone 7. The software is distinctly different from Windows Phone 7, but appears to be a "Windows Phone 7: Feature Phone edition". The phone is expected to have a feature called The Loop that would act as a central social networking hub.
Even if the release date for Pure has not been leaked yet, Gizmodo sources confirmed that the phone is headed to Verizon Wireless. According to Business Week the tentative schedule for release would be May or June.

From the first impression it appears that Pure is a larger version of Turtle. Pure has 480×320 screen the same as the iPhone.  The phone offers a paneled interface with apps for music(Zune typography)), email to RSS feed decked in fixed squares. Overall its gives an impression of an unified social networking hub.
The Phone is more intuitive than Android and embellished with Windows Phone 7 like animations. However, the app section doesn't add up.
Pure offers a download screen for new apps, but it is yet to ensconce anything.  This implies the Pink phone users will have to download the apps from Windows Phone 7 marketplace. Alternately, they might also offer only specific apps from selected partners.
Gizmodo also leaked the Firmware which shows traces of Zune, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, and Windows Live.
With just the worm's-eye view it remains to see whether Microsoft Pink phones with innovative social networking features grows into a teenage sensation.
