With competition hotting up in the stylish all-in-one notebook segment, largest PC maker Hewlett-Packard has just refreshed its Indian line-up of laptops ranging from lifestyle to business.

The company launched six new notebooks as it prepares to take on the mite of potent rivals including Dell, Sony, Acer and Toshiba. Here's a look at the specs sheet of HP's new entrants. 

HP Mini 110
The latest addition to HP's Mini family, Mini 110 is designed for internet-centric audience. Available in three colours Pink Chic, Black Swirl and White Swirl, the notebook is ideal for fashion conscious audience.

With 10.1-inch widescreen display with 1,024 x 576 resolution, the notebook packs Intel ATOM N270 /1.60 GHz processor, Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive and 32GB SSD. The notebook weighs 1.17 kg.

Following the thin is in mantra, HP has launched an ultra-thin HP Pavilion dv2 notebook PC in the Indian market. The notebook is just 1-inch thin and weighs 1.64 kgs.

With 12.1-inch LED backlit widescreen display, the notebook sports a glossy finish in choice of Espresso Black and Moonlight White. It houses a 12.1-inch diagonal HP BrightView display in a sturdy magnesium-alloy case.

The notebook is equipped with AMD Athlon Neo processor, ATI Radeon X1250 integrated graphics and optional ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 discrete graphics. It also packs HD playback through an external Blu-Ray optical drive. The notebook also supports optional built-in WWAN for wireless connectivity and includes an HP Webcam and integrated microphone.

The notebook packs Windows Vista Home Premium and has 320GB HDD 5400 rpm SATA and 4GB DDR2 SDRAM. The price starts from Rs 38,490 plus taxes.

Featuring a 15.6-inch high-definition display with 16:9 widescreen dimensions, HP Pavilion dv6 series notebook PC packs Intel Core2 Duo Mobile Processor P8600 (2.40 GHz).

The notebook has Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD or ATI Radeon HD4650 graphics cards with 1GB of dedicated video memory.

The notebook has fingerprint reader, integrated web camera and microphones. HP Pavilion dv6 packs Windows Vista Home Premium. Available in Espresso Black colour, the pricing starts from Rs 40,990 (taxes extra).

Compaq 610 notebook PC is designed for mobile users looking for a low-cost notebook. Featuring a 15.6-inch diagonal LED-backlit HD display with 16:9 ratio, the notebook packs Intel Core 2 Duo processors and Windows Vista Business.

The notebook is also equipped with integrated 2 megapixel Webcam, integrated microphone and Wi-Fi Certified WLAN. Compaq 610 features a secure hard drive mounting method called DriveGuard that helps reduce shock to hard drive.

Weighing 2.49 kgs, price starts from Rs 33,500.

HP Pavilion dv3 entertainment notebook PC packs advanced NVIDIA GeForce G105M dedicated video graphics, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 and 512MB dedicated video memory.

Featuring a 13.3-inch diagonal LED widescreen display with the 16:9 widescreen panel, the notebook has integrated webcam and dual digital microphones. It is priced at Rs 50,990 plus taxes. The notebook is available in HP Moonlight White and Espresso Black imprints.

For business users, HP launched ProBook Notebook PC series. The new ProBook models packs mercury-free design and features high-definition (HD) LED backlit displays in a choice of 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch diagonal widescreen sizes.

ProBook is equipped with HP QuickLook 2 software, which provides access to email, calendar, task and contact information. For data security, File Sanitizer permanently deletes individual files, folders and personally identifiable information from the notebook.

The series also has a SpareKey feature that addresses the hassle of forgotten passwords by using a sequence of three predetermined personal identification questions to gain immediate entry into the system. The pricing starts from Rs 40,990.
