Sentinel: An Electric Police Trike by Xtreme

We have just discovered an electric “police mobility vehicle” by Xtreme, a Las Vegas company. The electric trike is called Sentinel and it is especially designed to help cops to navigate crowds and busy city streets. Sentinel is a trike, which has an aluminum unibody frame and lithium-ion batteries. Besides the great designs, it is also capable of silent pursuits up to 29 miles an hour.

In case of an emergency or difficult situation on the road, the cop can jump off the trike and, an automatic parking brake will stop the Sentinel in its tracks (but there is no guarantee if the trike won’t be hit by other vehicles). It can hop an eight inch curb.

According to Xtreme, Sentinel has been designed in order to replace the bicycle and foot patrol. There is no news available regarding its price. However, it is imagined that it will cost nothing less than a bike or new shoes for foot patrol. The batteries of Sentinel are good for over 3,000 cycles and provide over 80 miles of travel per charge. There is also no official launch date give by Xtreme yet.
