Dell is set to launch its Smartphones in China by the end of this year. China is believed to be lucrative but crowded smartphone market.According to the trade sources, Dell is looking for new revenue sources in the Chinese market. Dell is reportedly working on handsets with Chi Mei Communications, an unit of Taiwan electronics giant Hon Hai.
At the same time, China-based software maker Red Office is designing the phones’ operating system.
In the mean time a Red Office spokeswoman confirmed her company was developing an operating system for a smartphone for Dell.
Though, spokesmen from Hon Hai’s office in Taiwan and Dell offices in China and Singapore had no comment.
