Asus Launches P835 Windows Mobile Smartphone

Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS has announced its latest Windows Mobile based smart phone, the ASUS P835.

The phone runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and sports a large 3.5 inch display supporting a resolution of 800*480 which should be a treat to the eyes. Of course it comes with ASUS proprietary glide user interface -- albeit an improved version over the previous versions.

The phone also sports decent imaging abilities-- thanks to its 5 megapixel auto focus camera. Those looking for a QWERTY keyboard might be disappointed because this one only comes with an on-screen keyboard. A Qualcomm 7201A, 528MHz  processor does the number crunching and with 288MB of RAM and 256 MB of ROM, the device should be reasonably peppy at handling whatever you throw at it.

For storage, you have 4GB of memory and if that is insufficient, you can always expand it with SDHC cards. Other features include A-GPS, WiFi, Opera Mobile browser, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and USB 2.0 support..

We will need to wait till ASUS lets us know the price and availability details of this one.
